Accessibility Statement

Kelso Embroidery is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible. We want everyone who visits kelsoembroidery.co.uk to be able to use our site comfortably and confidently.

Our Commitment

We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, voice control, or screen magnifiers.

How We Support Accessibility

We are working to ensure that our website:
   •    Uses clear, simple language where possible
   •    Has a logical structure and consistent navigation
   •    Allows zooming up to 300% without loss of functionality
   •    Has strong colour contrast to support readability
   •    Is usable with a keyboard for main navigation
   •    Provides descriptive alt text for images (especially product photos)
   •    Ensures text is resizable and readable
   •    Avoids flashes or content that could trigger seizures

We also aim to regularly review content and test new pages for accessibility issues.

Areas We Know May Need Improvement

We are working to improve the following areas:
   •    Some older images or product photos may not yet have full descriptive alt text
   •    Some buttons or links may require improved labelling
   •    Certain third-party embedded content (Etsy widgets, payment providers, social feeds) may not fully meet WCAG standards, as they are outside our control

We are reviewing and updating these over time as part of our ongoing accessibility plan.
